The widest Baobab in the world is sited in the Sandland Farm in Modjadjiskloof and is most likely to be 1000 years old. With age the Baobab has become hollow inside and the spacious caverns have been converted into a wine cellar and pub. This tourist attraction can accommodate sixty people at a time and is a legendary landmark in the Limpopo Province.
In 1993 artifacts of Bushmen and First White Settlers were found in the hollows of the Baobab when the farm's owners cleaned out the tree. In spring the Baobab comes alive with large flowers that attract a variety of bird life including 2 pairs of owls.
